Jamal Anthony

R&B vocalist Anthony J. Hargrove aka Jamal Anthony (ALWAYS N FOREVER) was born December 15, 1982 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The oldest of three children, Jamal Anthony's passion for singing was ignited at the early age of 4 in the backseat of his father's car, during countless trips up and down the east coast. His father, a local bishop, had a strong influence on Jamal Anthony's musical roots in gospel music. At the age of 7, Jamal Anthony took the church stage for the first time and was soon able to sing any gospel song on key in its entirety. After graduating from high school in 2001, Anthony attended the Art Institute of Philadelphia. In addition to receiving an Associate's Degree in graphic design, Jamal Anthony was also receiving vocal training from The Jenkins & Jenkins Music School in Trenton, New Jersey.

Jamal Anthony has since assisted numerous local gospel artists and has done references that have been submitted to a number of well-known artists including Chris Brown. With influences that include Mattie Moss Clark, Nat King Cole, Stevie Wonder, The Bee Gees, Kim Burrell and The Clark Sisters, his love for God and music keep Jamal Anthony in focus always and forever. Jamal Anthony is here to bring back real R&B.
