Funky Bunch (PKA as Marky Mark & The Funky Bunch) are launching a comeback under the name The Funk B's. The group, known for their hit single "Good Vibrations" with Marky Mark, are releasing a new album entitled "Still Standing" in August.

Signed to the Canadian-based music label, Suave Dawg Records/Toxicvibes.com, with returning original members, Scott “Great Scott” Ross, Hector “HB” Barros, Terry “DJ -T” Yancy, along with newest members, Jaime “Avalanche” Haage, Lola “LB” Frazier, Chad “Dragon” Penney ,Dawayne “DJ Rareform” Branco and Michael “Yung Piff” (Da Prince) Wilder have evolved into the Boston-based THE FUNK Bs.

“Hector, Terry, and I have had the opportunity to do many wonderful things in and outside of the music industry since the days of ‘Good Vibrations.’ We always knew that we would do another musical venture together. This year it felt like it was the right time to return. The dynasty has ended!

SDR and Choclair have called it quits. You all know the story of one of Canada's greatest hip hop star so we don't need to tell you again but it is sad to say that Choclair and Suave Dawg are no longer a team to reckon with. Before the official release of the rapper's last studio CD 'FLAGSHIP', Suave Dawg Records President and CEO Glen Prendergast decided that it would be in the best interest of both parties to sever all business ties due to many reasons both business and personal.

"Choclair to me is an icon in the Canadian hip hop scene and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours, but business is business and he and I fully understand that", stated Mr. Prendergast.

It is official!

Suave Dawg records has entered the re-union game with the signing of Boston based hip hop group The FunkBs(see Bio). Now this news may not be exciting to most of the new followers of rap so let me bring it back to you all.

The New Kids On The Block's Donnie Wahlberg and his brother Mark Wahlberg had formed a group called Marky Mark and The Funky Bunch.(google them). The group when on to sell millions of records in the '90s including the smash single 'Good Vibrations'. They had many success touring with NKOTB and suddenly they disbanded and the rest is history. Mark is now a huge movie star with many credits under his belt and Donnie and the Kids are back.

"When I got the call about the re-union of The Funky Bunch I was at first hesitant and then after hearing a bit of their music I rapidly became interested. We change directions and got a great producer by the name Dsharp from Boston and created an exciting record", said Glen Prendergast.

A Reggae Time!

The legendary Bob Marley was and still is a great hero and inspiration to many of us music lovers and people we are not just talking reggae lovers but all genres of music loved Marley.

Well not to toot our own horn but we have Junior Miller. Yes Suave Dawg Records have signed a recording deal with Canadian Reggae singer/songwriter/producer Junior Miller (see Bio). Junior has been in the business for many years just doing shows for the fun of it because he could. He has his own studio and writes his own music so he was in no rush to make waves within the music world, until now.

"A good friend of Junior's and Mark Wahlberg's childhood friend Rasta Phil brought me out to one of Miller's performance and the first song that he sang caught me and I decided right then to offer him a deal, I grew up with roots reggae and his songs, his voice and the substance of his lyrics just captured my attention," remarked Glen Prendergast President/CEO.
